Some highlights of recent sports events.
Sports events are fun and challenging - the moment is seen and captured or gone in an instant.
Team ball sports like hockey and basketball are fast and furious, football and rugby a bit easier to predict.
Indoor sports have challenges such a lighting and perimeter space to consider, and even outdoor sports under floodlights can be difficult. Having the right lenses and camera bodies is crucial to getting good images.
Sports and action photography.
2009-2010 has seen a regular Saturday league football home fixtures opportunity, with many of my photos appearing in the Home Team programme and press. Dartford Football Club used 12 of my images to produce an A3 2010 full colour limited edition calendar, as well a taxi advertising graphics and a banner.
I was a photographer at the Dartford Half Marathon and the Bluewater 10K road races. I look forward to revisiting motorsports and welcome any opportunity to get involved new sports, such as local cricket.
More football, rugby, basketball and hockey seem set for 2010, plus some track and field as the weather improves, as well as indoor sports like Kendo and basketball.
